Swarm by timtipgames
This game is basically an experiment about indirect controlls and it touches slightly on some swarm-behaviour things that I'd been thinking about for a game.
All done in one day (submition day of course) and along the regular LD rules. So no external assets.
Hope someone enjoys it. I did ;)
Post your score if you play it! :)

I liked the way the game wend darker the deeper you dived.
Kept me wondering how you can get to a negative depth (???), that gets you a negative score too, of course ! ;)
It would be great if the hiscore was also displayed on the "Instructions" screen, I clicked too fast and the screen displaying the hiscore was gone... :)
PS: Web version didn't work for me, the other one was ok (WinVista/IE).
The negative highscore is of course just the result of the camera y-value being used for depth and I didn't have the time to cap at zero :)
I will put in some menus in the end. The easiest way to see your results is to play again.
In the end I am not totally satisfied with the controls as it turns out to be a bit too random what happens. I will change some things there too I guess. As it is now, it's just so perfectly working on larger touchscreens as you don't need to touch the screen all the time.
Internet explorer doesn't handle the libgdx html export well (as it doesn't with many other things). Should have stated that somewhere I guess, but glad you have been able to play with the jar. Thanks for commenting.
But the jar worked and I found you're game very good!
A coherent ppixelized graphic style and an interesting play mechanic. I didn't immediately realise the dark spots were sharks, but the blood in the water made it obvious pretty quick.
It can easily be expanded with some more variation in enemies and upgrades you can have a great game, I think.
I agree that a bit more control would be nice.
