@ladron Thanks! I was very happy with the effect, so i'm glad someone else likes it! I did try to make it challenging, seeing as it's only a short game. Which part did you get stuck at in particular?
Other jumps are visible from either standing at the very edge of a block, or at one point remembering where the block is from earlier in the game. Thanks for the comment! :)
Grats on submitting!
@ryantouk - Putty haha. There are checkpoints in the game, but they need moving around desperately. I should maybe add a few more too. The language is BlitzMax. Thankyou for the comment!
@shiftingParadigms - I did try to make it challenging, but judging by everyones comments it's too difficult! I might make a post compo version with revised checkpoints at some point in the future. Again, thankyou for your comment!
I like it. The Sonar-idea, the green hue, the minimalist style.
But it is ridiculously trial'n'error. For every bit of progress I have to die first. What this need is a longer sonar-time. A clearer distiction between safe tiles and death-tiles. More checkpoints. And only one button to jump, because with ASD in use my mind keeps switching to WSAD-controls.
The reason i used both A and D for jump is because i know that some people like to use their middle finger for jumping, while others prefer using their index finger.
You sadistic bastard :) - I couldn't get very far though... no restore points - why?! I may try again when less frustrated...
