I like the concept of evolving graphics.

I got stuck on 8 bit. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but I couldn't get out of one screen. The walking sound drove me a little insane.

I made it to 16 bit but once I found the girl nothing happened. :(

It could use a bit of direction. It's inconsistent in the way you complete the levels. There's not really a pattern to the design, so I had no idea what was going on. I got stuck on this one screen where you go out one side and come back in the other from any direction. I wasn't sure whether this was a bug or whether I was just being dumb.

Rating the audio was very conflicting for me because I quite enjoyed the music, but the boopy boopy sound was driving me nuts.

I too got stuck pretty early and nothing I tried seemed to do anything. Love the concept though.

Were there any other controls besides mouse controls? Because I found them very annoying...

This game needed more instruction, and a more obvious path for the player

Hmm, I didn't quite figure out how to play...

Artsy indeed! That being said, I have no idea what's going on :)

Strange game. I found the movement pretty frustrating. I feel keyboard controls would likely have been better, or better pathing on click. It was somewhat fun trying to advance the game and figure out each puzzle. I would say tighten up the controls and then focus on making more interesting puzzles.

I really didn't understand anything at the first four levels, I just clicked randomly until the game sent me to the next level. Then I got stuck at the house level. Since when does artsy means abstruse ?

The concept of the evolving game is nice. Loved the work on the audio too (even if it would have been great to make the walking sound evolve too ^^).
It seems like the exit of the worlds sometimes just don't want to appear.

Its a nice concept, but until you reach 8 bit you don't really know what's going on. Its also not clear when the game ends, I'm stuck on 16-bit if you find the girl nothing happens and if you go down from the houses you get stuck in endless loop land. The poor path-finding makes it infuriating to click and nothing happen other than booping sound.

The theme was a good interpretation of evolution and the innovation for improving the graphics was good even if the 16-bit graphics weren't the most pretty.

Movement was a bit difficult at times. I didn't understand where to go at first until I understood I have to move over the flashy white blocks (in the first levels). Then when the colors came in, I was totally lost in the level with the houses, grass and trees.

I liked the idea early on, but the later levels are a bit awkward to navigate around because of the player stopping whenever it hits a block. Also, not sure if there is a way to finish the 16-bit level (nothing happens when you go the woods)

a bit confusing, no idea what to do in the first color level, but awesome mood =)

Got stuck in the 16-bit level, but I really liked the game. Very nice idea. The first level looked awesome, it sort-of declined a bit from there but the graphics are still okay.

The music was cool, evolving in parallel to the graphics.
Well done!

I enjoyed the first three levels, even though i didnt know what to do. I really like that black and white graphics and your font. But later on I got lost. I miss a tutorial or something. Or at least objectives. Nevertheless i like it :D

Good concept! I agree with others that the controls are frustrating, and the objective of each stage should be made clear. I got stuck at the 16 bit stage, and would love to see the evolutions past that.

If anyone knew what was happening I'd like to know, a somewhat compelling atmosphere but mostly confusion

I think this is a really great idea and love the way the graphics and game play develops as you progress through it. I did get stuck on the screen with just a few bricks in the middle (16 bit I think!) - if I moved off it, it took me back to the other side of the screen.

I'm not sure what 'artsy' means, so I can't necessarily comment on that. The music was really repetitive and the clicking/moving sound is so horribly annoying. Gameplay was really mediocre even as a concept; the first two or three levels were basically the same(I don't even remember how many because they were so similar), and the last two levels I played were exactly the same but with different, really bad graphics.

Sorry if I offend you, I'm trying to be honest with my reviews. Good effort, though.

Very neat concept, and the first colour graphics were really cool looking. The music was also great. I got list after 8 bit as the girl in the woods seemed interactive, yet she wouldn't attack or let me level up. I found the controls with mouse kind of annoying, and would have preferred arrow keys. Good job overall :)

Woah... thanks everyone for the comments; I just popped up here and am humbled to see so many people taking time to play the game and leave feedback. I really appreciate it!

Some quick notes:
- Agreed footsteps audio could be improved greatly... went through 5 iterations to get them where they are; still not there.
- Yes controls are mouse only; there may be some bugs going screen to screen. (Sorry, tried my best around that.)
- The very last level was in haste as time was running out. It's roughly like the 8bit except there is a twist to when you find the girl.
