You control the world with your magic remote with its unreliable battery. The battery is charged by the faith of your people, but if it overcharges or goes dead the remote goes haywire.

People have AI, they get married, have kids, go swimming, garden for food, put out fires and hunt bears. They can die in a dozen or more ways - heatstroke, hypothermia, hunger, thirst, bear attack, tornadoes, etc.

How you control the weather will affect which disasters do or don't occur.
