You can build a perpetual motion machine in our game!
你可以在我们的游戏里制造永动机! For this Ludum Dare, we decided to make a roguelike tower defense game. Here's what it looks like:
Pretty cool, right? I love this post-apocalyptic aesthetic too.
But when we were discussing the gameplay, we said: Hey, if these are just towers, what does that have to do with our theme "signal"?
So I thought, what if these towers don't attack on their own, but instead eliminate enemies by receiving and transmitting signals...? That sounded pretty good.
We ended up implementing this idea! Signals emanate from the central tower, your subordinates execute them layer by layer, and if you arrange your towers cleverly, they will actually pass signals to each other, forming an infinite loop!
After release, my teammates were all obsessed with building one perpetual motion machine after another—they call them "sea urchins," for obvious reasons.
(Warning: This might make the game a little laggy)
Give it a try! I love this piece! https://ldj.am/$431229
