I'm in! Have a nice jam!
Have a nice jam, have fun and make some games!
My setup: - Game Engine: Game Maker probably (or Godot) - Language: GML or C# - IDE: Rider (if C#) - Graphics: Aseprite - Music: Beepbox, FL studio - Sound: Bfxr, Famitracker, Audacity
From a "veteran" some tips: - Learning a new engine from scratch is a bad idea for a jam: Start learning a new engine might be a bad idea but should be ok if you started some weeks ago and have a bit a clue about. Also its not so bad for learning it :) - Build your game somemtimes: Test builds especially web builds (some engines have issues with it someties). - Code Base: It is ok to have a template project / have a code base for general stuff prepared. Also for compo :) - Music: If you are not so a great musican but your game is fun and you are going for the JAM Mode just get some cool music from opengameart.org or something which is free and opt-out for audio. The thing is: this improves your game and your game might get a better score in the other categories if the music matches. - Screw features: Just start small or with a small version of your game which you defined as "required" features.
Hope this helps a bit. Happy Jammin!
See you on the other side :sunglasses:
