As a programmer, I\u2019ve learned how little I can accomplish if I\u2019m not well organized. So I think that planning and organizing is the key to finish a game in time. Here\u2019s a rough outline of my time management strategy (in my fantasy world):<\/p>\n<p>Overall plan: Day 1 \u2013 Basic mechanics, Day 2 \u2013 Polishing, level design and sound (if any)<\/p>\n<p>Principles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Split the work into manageable chunks (e.g. 1 hour) and try to finish each within that time.\n<li> Plan carefully before doing things. (This is hard for me.)\n<li> Keep a good TODO list.\n<li> Review the overall progress and update the plan every 6-8 hours.\n<\/li><\/li><\/li><\/li><\/ul>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s a time to put this into a real world test.
