The percentage is how many people voted +1 or -1, instead of a zero, or \u201cmeh.\u201d The winner should be no surprise to Ludum Dare veterans!<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Ranked:<\/em>\u00a0Kittens (88.38%), Loneliness (84.11%), Pirate (83.76%)<\/p>\n<p><em>Bottom Ranked:<\/em> Natural World (71.86%),\u00a0Lost Paradise (72.51%),\u00a0Stolen (73.16%)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Popularity:\u00a0<\/strong>The total votes, multiplied by Polarity. Will this tell us the eventual winner?<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Ranked:<\/em>\u00a0Abandoned (3.17),\u00a0Survive (2.45), Parallel Worlds (2.06)<\/p>\n<p><em>Bottom Ranked:<\/em> Regret (-4.78), Kittens (-4.52), Pirate (-4.46)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Love:\u00a0<\/strong>What about multiplying +1 times Polarity? How do they stack up then? Because (finally) Abandoned isn\u2019t at the top!<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Ranked:\u00a0<\/em>Survive (6.96), Abandoned (6.76), Evolution (6.49)<\/p>\n<p><em>Bottom Ranked:\u00a0<\/em>Inhabiting (2.33),\u00a0Precision (2.39),\u00a0Stolen (2.52)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hate:<\/strong> Just for grins, what\u2019s the result of -1 votes times Polarity? Higher means more Hate!<\/p>\n<p><em>Top Ranked:<\/em> Kittens (8.94), Pirate (7.82), Regret (7.56)<\/p>\n<p><em>Bottom Ranked:<\/em>\u00a0Abandoned (3.59),\u00a0Creation and Destruction (4.14),\u00a0Chain Reaction (4.29)<\/p>\n<p><strong>TL;DR:<\/strong> Abandoned is the clear favorite. It also has the most total votes by a wide margin, so that doesn\u2019t come as a surprise. But the level of hate directed at Kittens is incredible! It\u2019s not at the bottom of total votes, by any means, but these formulas suss out \u00a0a deeper, borderline pathological intemperance for our planet\u2019s young felines!<\/p>\n<p>Now to plunge into deeper LD voting tallies, if I can find them\u2026<\/p>","time":"August 22nd, 2012 9:23 pm","title":"Stats on Theme Voting"}
