Hexagonal tiling is the most classy regular tiling of the plane. And the most brainfucking too, when it comes to reproduce it in HTML\/CSS and a few JS.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to do this mini LD with a partner in code too. He read my twitter news about mini #LD, but he didn\u2019t want to go alone. So he took me. However I cannot introduce him, he did not create his account here yet.<\/p>\n<p>During the last week-end, we managed to produce a hexagonal-tiled field generator of a gorgeous realism.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" id=\"attachment_56844\" style=\"width: 310px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/2011\/07\/29\/3-directional-field\/capture-d%e2%80%99ecran-2011-07-29-a-22-22-37\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-56844\"><img alt=\"\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-56844\" height=\"261\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Capture-d\u2019\u00e9cran-2011-07-29-\u00e0-22.22.37-300x261.png\" width=\"300\"\/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Green ! Rock ! Forest ! Meanders !<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Yay ! Now, just\u2026 err, do something with it. <img alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/icon_smile.gif\"\/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m thinking of a kind of memory game on these hexagonal tiles, which would help you gain resources. With these resources, you would do war things on the same plate.
