{"author_name":"Atomizer","cat":"LD #19 - Discovery - 2010","comments":[],"epoch":1292655000,"likes":0,"metadata":{"p_key":"68482","p_author":"Atomizer","p_authorkey":"509078","p_urlkey":"104285","p_title":"Progress\u2026..eh\u2026..kinda","p_cat":"LD #19 - Discovery - 2010","p_event":"LD19","p_time":"1292655000","p_likes":"0","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"509078","us_name":"Atomizer","us_username":"Atomizer","event_start":"1292544000","event_key":"5","event_name":"LD19"},"text":"<p>Well, I guess I should have seen it coming, working with libraries I have never used before when time is limited isn&#8217;t a good idea \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n <p>I spent the first few hours planning and coding, and doing some artwork and getting tiles up and working, Slick hasn&#8217;t really complicated that process at all(easy to learn).<\/p>\n <p>But then I decided I would go ahead and use the Phys2D library I had prepared in my project, which took a bit more to figure out, but the worst thing is it made most of my other code redundant, so I have had to sit back and rethink how to structure it to integrate Phys2D to make the best use of it&#8230;..turns out I&#8217;m pretty much starting from scratch, minus some initial setup code.<\/p>\n <p>But anyway, here is where I am currently sitting<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/atomicdivisions.com\/projects\/ld19\/ld19_0636.png\"><img class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/atomicdivisions.com\/projects\/ld19\/ld19_0636_sm.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"520\" height=\"531\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n <p>The yellow circle is the &#8220;player&#8221;, movable with A and D, and can jump with space, the squares around the outside is whats left of my tile system(which used to actually be textured).<\/p>\n <p>Great experience all around however.<\/p>","time":"December 18th, 2010 1:50 am","title":"Progress\u2026..eh\u2026..kinda"}
