I decided on a whim to do this this weekend (my first Ludum Dare) and then I figured I wasn’t doing anything next week so why not. I’m a student with a background (Read: Diploma) in Game Programming and I figure this’ll be a good way to warm up for the next semester if nothing else.

Really though I’m just trying to justify the Whimsy that is the actual reason for my doing this.

Here is the plan:

– Microsoft Visual Studio

– C++

– Any sound I can produce using whatever freeware is convenient

– Whichever free Engine I can pick out in the next hour

– Paint.net and paint.exe for graphics

– A complete disregard for the theme (in terms of mechanics)

I also may stream it if I can get that working
