Timelapse question

Maybe someone can answer me this. How can I have the times in between my timelapse to be black? For instance, if I turn it on at 9am until 11am, then turn it off, and turn it on again at 1pm. How can I fill that time in between in my final video?

It really depends on what technology you are using to make your timelapse. Myself, I’m putting together multiple screenshots, so all I need to do is to add multiple black screenshots (since my screenshots are named by a timestamp, I just need a script to generate the timestamp for the missing ones).

i’m using Chronolapse + Sony Vegas. Sony Vegas can place images based on a timestamp, but the images generated by Chronolapse doesn’t have one

why would you want to include the blank times? just edit them out

the timelapse script that I wrote I just have it take a screenshot index as a parameter so i can stop it and restart it at will. It’s crude but it works.

Even if you “skip” the blank space, you might want to include a few slides of “sleeping now”.
