{"author_name":"saveferris","cat":"LD #23","comments":[],"epoch":1334947260,"likes":1,"metadata":{"p_key":"58721","p_author":"saveferris","p_authorkey":"8186","p_urlkey":"94470","p_title":"I <3 LD","p_cat":"LD #23","p_event":"LD23","p_time":"1334947260","p_likes":"1","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"8186","us_name":"saveferris","us_username":"saveferris","event_start":"1334880000","event_key":"10","event_name":"LD23"},"text":"<p>This LD I will try my best to finally introduce some <strong>actual<\/strong> <strong>game<\/strong> mechanics.<\/p>\n <p>I will get some sleep prior to the theme announcement but before I do that I will declare my choice of tools right here:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li><strong>Language:<\/strong> Javascript<\/li>\n <li><strong>Game Engine:<\/strong> Akihabara, Cocos 2D, Atom or none (haven&#8217;t decided yet&#8230;)<\/li>\n <li><strong>Audio:<\/strong> whatever I will come up with (last time it was Garageband, so probably this time too)<\/li>\n <li><strong>Game Design:<\/strong> pencil &amp; paper, recreational shower, going outside for a run, meditation, yoga, staring at ceiling cat<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>I have only started to learn Javascript very recently&#8230; this of course goes against every advice &#8211; I probably should stick to tools I&#8217;m more familiar with but then again this is also part of what gets me so excited &amp; pumped about LD (to &#8220;play&#8221; with and to learn tech which is new to me) plus I really like the aspect of people being able to play instantly within their browsers and not having to install anything.<\/p>\n <p>Anyways I&#8217;ve been working all day and it&#8217;s 10PM here, quite tired but then again very much stoked about\u00a0LD23 (had been looking forward to this for months)!<\/p>\n <p><img class=\"alignleft  wp-image-118498\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0198-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"157\" height=\"210\" \/><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>I need my sleep\u00a0so I will lose 2-3 hours but figured its better to be well rested this time (ran\u00a0into some health issues after last LD because I almost didn&#8217;t sleep).<\/p>\n <p><strong>GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY &#8211; BUT MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN AND STAY HEALTHY!<\/strong><\/p>\n <p>zzzzzzzzzzzZzZzzzzZZzzzzzzzZZZzzzz (my cat demonstrating how to rest purrfectly)<\/p>\n <div><\/div>\n <div><\/div>","time":"April 20th, 2012 1:41 pm","title":"I <3 LD"}
