A Wild Ludum Dare Challenger Appears
This will be my first time on Ludum Dare, and I am very excited.
Having voted on the themes, I am very excited about whichever theme will be chosen. All of them are great.
So, my setup:
Platform: Dell Inspiron N4050, Running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, With Unity Window Manager
Framework: Undum.
Language: Javascript + HTML
Editor: Vim.
Graphics: Mostly background textures, generated off of Photoshop CS5
Sound: Won’t need it.
VCS: Git.
Offsite Source Code Repository: Bitbucket until I am ready to release a Beta. After that, github.
Hosting the finished Game: games.banseljaj.com/LD24
Intended Platform For Finished Product: Cross Platform, including Android/iOS, Win/Mac/*nix. (Google Chrome recommended)
Brain: The stock brain I came fitted with.
Mission Statement:
As might be apparent from the tools I have chosen, I intend to create a convincing Interactive Fiction adventure using Undum, which can be played in a browser.
What I hope to Achieve:
- A better grasp of HTML, CSS and their interaction than I currently have.
- A grounding in JS , doing something that I both value highly, and have fun doing.
- Stretch the creative horizons of my mind, and make myself write more stories and creative narratives at will.
