Shall we make a game? Love to.
My first Ludum Dare entry, a very shallow platformer called Flea Circus, that I made for the previous competition didn’t come out anywhere near as well as I wanted it to. This time, I’m excited to make something that I can look at on Monday morning and say “not bad”.
In my Ludum Dare toolbox for this weekend:
- TextMate
- Ruby 1.9 (with some help from the Gosu library)
- Photoshop for graphics
- Audacity, sfxr and Garageband for sound effects and music
- Coffee and paracetamol
If anyone’s interested, I’ll be tweeting from @eddm during LD #24 and will be checking in source code at GitHub throughout the weekend.
During LD #23, I went hardcore. I went to sleep late, got up early and pounded the caffeine. The eye-strain was pretty bad and, perhaps inevitably, I got headaches.
I’ve never been so excited to get a headache.
Enjoy, everyone.

I see you are going to use Ruby. I love it, but the only problem I have is that I can’t create an exe with more than 1 ruby script with Ocra. Could you please give me some help in this point? I would really appreciate.
