Though Love2d is a very capable platform, I find myself annoyed by Lua&#8217;s design choices, and, while Python has its own oddities, missteps, and issues, they usually don&#8217;t anger or distract me as much as Lua&#8217;s do. I&#8217;ll be using SublimeText3 and the Jedi plugin for my coding, on ElementaryOS Luna.<\/p>\n <p>No matter what else I try, my instict is to go with the GIMP for graphics, mostly because Photoshop isn&#8217;t available on Linux, and because it&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve used for years.
