LD29: let the party start
Hello there!
At last I’ve managed to find the time to join a LD, yay! Been tracking jams for some years, playing and really enjoying their games and been missing participation one after another. But that’s over 😀
I’ve been at other local Game Jams but this feels like the next thing I’d do. My art won’t be nice, my music won’t be great, but there’s one thing I can do: programming. So, depending on the theme and the game, I’ll be using these tools:
- Engine: Unity, Phaser. It really depends on what I come up with, but even if it’s 2D I may give Unity a go, I’m aiming for releasing it for Android at least (why not OUYA too?).
- IDE: if using Unity I’d be programming in C# and Visual Studio 2012 will be the IDE. If using Phaser I’d use Sublime Text 2. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be using Sublime for non-code things (level files or similar).
- Graphics: Photoshop, Illustrator or, if any close to pixel art, Aseprite.
- Sound: Audacity, Bfxr.
- Music: Abundant Music.
- Source control: probably GitHub, maybe a local repo.
I’m really looking forward to it, pretty sure it’ll be fun
Enjoy it!
