So I had the night to let my sleeping brain mull it over. I decided to make a sort of soft procedural art style thing using Unreal (which I&#8217;m getting to grips with a bit right now). So most of today has been spent doing 3D art and\/or messing with particles and materials. Tomorrow will see the core mechanic (which will become apparent if you watch the video and see the &#8220;ping&#8221;) emerge (or not) and hopefully give me a chance to try out some behavior tree stuff.<\/p>\n <p>Also used DroneFX a procedural ambient music generator for the music today, but that was kind of automated <img src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/simple-smile.png\" alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/> luckily it fits well with what I wanted.<\/p>\n <p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mv0QEtF91YQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>","time":"April 26th, 2014 4:26 pm","title":"Well, got a reasonably clear idea.. and some progress"}
