Perhaps, since my last two entries are kinda lame, I’ve been looking forward to this next compo to try and make something awesome. Let’s see how things turn out… XDMy weapons, this time around, will be quite different:

Language: C

Library: GFraMe (temporary name)

Music: LMMS

SFX: sfxr

Editor: Vim

Timelapse: ??? – whichever alternative to Chronolapse I find on Ubuntu

Image editor: GIMP

Beverage:Coffee, as always =D

OS: Ubuntu 14.04

I’m still kinda anxious about making a game in C and in 48 hours, but I think it will work out. I developed a simple game together with my framework, and was able to get it to a “complete” state, though it’s missing lots of features. So I probably needn’t worry… It’s definitely going to be fun. =D

I should probably say this: the framework is still in development. I still gotta make my wrapper for keyboard and controller input, for example. Also, it’s highly uncommented…There are many functions with explanations about its behaviour and expected parameters, but there quite some that I later modified and haven’t fixed its comments, yet. Errors are also really long and stupid… I’ve gotta fix that… If I do get to refactor it someday, I’ll also properly document it.Good luck to you all, and let’s all have a great time making games!

November 18th, 2014 7:45 pm
Preparations for the battle are still going… but I’m in!"}
