Do you know what’s the best part in Ludum Dare? Game development? Well, yes, but do you know what’s the second best part in Ludum Dare? Umm, no.

Have you ever realized that Ludum Dare is actually a social event. Even if you worked alone, you still share your content and progress with other people. You love (or give hearts) other people’s posts, and they’ll love your post. But that’s not the best part in the second best part in Ludum Dare: in Ludum Dare, you “meet” developers you have met in other game development communities. Currently I have seen many people who I originally “met” in sites like Game Jolt, GBJam forums and even 64Digits (very unlikely, though, those guys never leave their site)!

And that’s a good reason to love Ludum Dare.
