Our is about an elephant mage Elandra who's trying to save her egg in a ruthless and everchanging world. Will you survive long enough to see the hatchling live or will you fail and let the last of your kind become an omelette?

But adverts aside. I wanted to talk a bit about how I approached the music in this game. My role in our team is everything sound related from sound design to music with the music taking most of my time usually. I love writing music but as many creative people I am very self conscious. I let my inner judge take over and paralyze me. This is what happened the last jam we as a team did (GMTK22). I spent 12 straight hours making a lot of music that I was just not satisfied with for the stupidest of reasons like: "it's not complex enough" or "i know I can write something better" and I ended up exhausted and drained even though the music was fine. And so I decided to let go and try and not judge everything I do. My main takeaway here mostly just: have fun with whatever you do. Art being it music, graphics, code should be first and foremost fun so don't spoil it by being a shit friend to yourself.
