Griggy has been hard at work to push out some more quality of life, visual and audio changes to make Hold The Line even better.\n\n\n\n![Screenshot.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/30d\/34\/z\/4e676.png)\n\n\nOur full list of updates:\n\n1. Updated formation drawing mechanics to be more intuitive. We heard a lot of feedback regarding placing units and this game was a huge wake up call into just how much work studios need to put into this type of control scheme. We're much happier with the latest version.\n\n2. Added unit flags above formations to improve readability. Our most common critique by far was that the units were hard to differentiate. This is another of those dev perspective vs audience perspective lessons we'll need to hold onto in the future: what's easy for the devs to notice isn't always easy for the players. Now the unit types are extremely obvious.\n\n3. Significant UI layout and quality improvements. Our original UI was placeholder at best and it definitely showed. While we wanted to focus on gameplay above anything else for the actual jam, Griggy has spruced up the UI to be much more pleasing on the eyes.\n\n4. Added audio volume slider. This is another quality of life feature that's a nice to have but not a necessity for the game jam submission version. No more needing to change your whole PC's volume!\n\n5. Added sound effects for unit movement and combat. We're very, very pleased with how much some sound effects can really crank up the immersion of the experience. Hold The Line truly sounds like a battlefield now.\n\n6. Updated unit textures for more detail. Everyone looks better now! Gotta look good for your impending doom.\n\n7. BATTLE CAM!!! There's now a battle camera in the lower left hand corner of the UI that gives an up close look at the action. \n\nhttps:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/50\/hold-the-line-ludum-dare-50\n\nWe're very happy with the reception Hold The Line received overall and we're looking forward to coming back for Ludum Dare 51.
