Mythic Garden (Original Game Soundtrack) 🎵

I had a lot of fun composing the cheerful music/SFX for this game and I was heavily inspired by games like Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, old-school SNES era RPGs (town/village/world map music) and of course The Great British Baking Show ;)

The 'WAAATER', 'happy plant sigh', and 'gasp for air' sounds are actually recordings of my wife Marija, and they were all completely improvised/unrehearsed. I basically just hit the record button and told her to close her eyes and ‘pretend to be a thirsty plant’ lol. We’re so happy they made it into the game and brought some smiles, and she is also stoked to have her first official video game credit/cameo!

The feedback for the music/audio so far has been really great, so I've decided to release the original soundtrack (along with a bunch of other game OSTs, remixes, etc.) via my new videogame-inspired record label imprint Retrograde Arcade (http://music.retrogradearcade.com).
