The tricky balance between frustration and fun

I made a small cave platformer where you play as a glowstick that behaves like a spring (bouncing from both ends). The game mechanic is quite simple yet feels challenging. The tricky part for me was getting the controls to still feel highly rewarding when the player performs the right jump by properly aiming and then going over obstacles with the proper rotation like a high jump competition. The middle portion of the glowstick has no bounce elasticity, giving the player a bit more control as well. I tried to add some replay incentive by having the player's best run as a replay ghost to play against, and was hoping to have a bit more time to have a live overall-LD-world record ghost that everyone could play against and beat to become the new record similar to trackmania.

Here's a gold-medal run done within 2:30:

Hope you have fun playing it and beating my score!
