Lots of progress

That's pretty much all the game mechanics done! I have to admit, it's quite a journey so far for me.. when I look at my previous posted gif, there is a lot of progress there. I still have to hunt down a couple of bugs, but that's the cost of doing stuff myself, without using most of the functionality LibGDX would theoretically offer. In all honesty, I really just used it for loading assets, some text layout computation and for having a platform (i.e. window) to display the damn thing on.

The art is a bit problematic for me.. I'm not the greatest artist and right now it's a culmination of different art styles I thought about and tested during development. I'll probably have to spend the greater rest of the time making actual final art assets.

And please don't even ask about sound..

But, nonetheless, I have to admit I'm a bit proud already of what I achieved so far!

The game itself is about a robot (which right now looks like an arrow) moving crates. It has a list of jobs (right) and a charge level (top left). The goal is to completely fill a power tank (the green thing in the wall) to "solve" the level. But you can also find batteries in crates you can break by hitting them against the wall.

The theme integration might not be obvious, but the idea was that energy is "life" for the robot. And it get's paid in energy, and also has to play energy to succeed. So that energy basically becomes currency. (You can also untderstand it as a little pun in regard to "currency")
