Space Station Simulator unfinished. Maybe LD isn’t for me?

My game that I unfortunately didn’t manage to finish working alone in 72 hours. I have learned a lot during this weekend, but I feel very disappointed. I wanted to make a game and instead I ended up with another unfinished prototype that I was working on this entire weekend. Maybe this project was too big or maybe LD isn’t for me. It’s a type of game I had never tried making before, but that’s the whole point of LD, isn’t it?

I might still play some of the submitted games after I get enough sleep. I can’t believe I wasted so much time on this project with no apparent results.

Failed jams can be frustrating, it’s happened to us a few times too. Our biggest take away on those failures has been what you said: “I have learned a lot” It’s not wasted time if you got something useful out of it, even if it’s what not to do next time.

Best advice to give you is do the next jam too! Failure is what we’ve learned the most from, and being afraid to fail will mean you can never set yourself up to succeed.

I was unable to finish this time too. It happens to the best of us, I’ve been doing LD’s since 2012. There are a lot of things I could say about this.
