Rise of Nosferacula by vitorlanna
As the moon rises, a terrifying shadow comes out of its lair! Nosferacula is thirsty for blood and he also needs sacrifices to build his army.
==
During the night, go to the village and to the house's windows. You can either hipnotize the villager or drink his/her blood.
Hipnotizing a villager sends him/her to your castle to become a sacrifice. They have to arrive there before dawn.
Drinking blood allows you to level up, which allows you to hipnotize faster. You win when you get to level 10.
--
During the day, angry villagers will try to destroy your castle, more villagers each day. If they succeed you lose.
Spend your sacrifices in your castle to create zombies. Zombies will fight the villagers, but they only last one day, so it may be useful to save some sacrifices for later.
==
Controls:
WASD or arrows to move Nosferacula(night) or camera(day).
Click on the baloons that appear in windows(night) to hipnotize or drink blood, and in your castle(day) to spend your sacrifices to spawn zombies.
(Jam version)After selecting the baloon to either drink blood or hipnotize, click repeatedly on the screen to actually do what you chose.
That's it - have fun!
How many days can you survive?

Two bugs:
- you left the prototyping for the blood sucking in- by clicking on the end of the bar you can skip it copletely
-at the end of day 5 i had 3 scrifices left but the button to summon them was gone
I agree with Don_martinez by the clicking must be frenetic and the bug of the button to summon don't appear to me too.
Congrats!!
It's unfortunate, the screenshots look really good!
The blood bug is fixed in the post-jam version! I couldn't reproduce the other bug yet, though =/
Capsila, I believe the Mac version should be working now! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Firstly: I loved the old-style film filter on the graphics.
However, the main problem was that it was impossible to win! Hypnotising people seemed to take so long as to be impossible to complete in one night! I even tried leveling up first to see if that would speed it up enough (it didn't). I just didn't seem to be able to make enough progress to hypnotise someone in a single night! (Actually, I barely made any progress). That meant I had nobody to defend my castle during the day, so I always lost on the first day.
Also: I'm sorry, but IMO rapid clicking is _never_ a good gameplay mechanic, especially when you have to do it for as long as you do in this.
I thought the gameplay itself was a little tough. The constant clicking tired out my hand, and it seemed like it was a little formulaic. Once I learned that I needed to hypnotize X number of people in order to survive, it was just a simple strategy.
However, there was one bug -- I played the Jam version, so maybe you already fixed this, but I was unable to unleash my final sacrifice to save my bacon.... those villagers with broomsticks sure can wreck a castle!
Hello Flaid! Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you, the gameplay does need work. The constant clicking is universally disliked and will definitely be removed if we continue the game. I haven't been able to reproduce that bug yet but I will investigate, thanks for commenting!
The overall style, both in visuals and music choice work great. I also like the overall dynamic of offense and defense, but I have to agree with the other commenters that the gameplay loop of constant clicking lets the game down a bit. Additionally the jam version also seemed very hard.
The post jam version works a lot better. It did make me wonder if we were expected to be able to click that fast as it seemed way easier than the jam version.
