Global Thermonuclear War Simulator 1995 by jsbluethree

[raw]
made by jsbluethree for LD33 (JAM)
The year is 1995. The world has erupted into all-out nuclear war, and it is your job to aim and fire the intercontinental ballistic missiles. You have 39 nukes with which to most efficiently eliminate the global population. Good luck!

You can play this game on any emulator that supports Game Boy ROMs, such as Visual Boy Advance.

Was really hard to place, but Visual Boy never fails. Nice little game where, "the only winning move is not to play" Very innovative I guess.

Can you make a video with gameplay? I would like to see your game, but don't want to install additional software only for one game.

1995 was historically a very unlikely year for global thermonuclear war to have developed. This point is probably inimical to the quality of the game.

This is very neat! Cool to know people make stuff like this for older platforms :D

It might not be that uncommon after GBJam, but I still do love to see gameboy games show up here! The game is pretty stark, and direct in its approach, but I'd say it performs well despite the simplicity. A bit more to work with, or at least some sound would have gone miles to truly elevate this game, though.

Not only did I wage thermo-nuclear war until the earth was decimated, but I compiled the emulator too!

Today was a good day.

Good entry!

I like this way of development with original platforms but I didn't found how the game is working :
I can fire missiles, but what is the goal ? There is no feedback.
