(Source included in the download)

Notes:
- No sound & no music (sorry)
- Only 2 skills per hero (sorry, my intention was at least 3 different per hero)
- FIRST SKILL IS MELEE RANGE!

Dev Notes:
- There might be problems if not running on windows 7 (32 bit prefered)
- You can also play it installing ruby and gosu lib. Copy paste source folder contents to main folder and then run game.rb

First: Thanks for providing fullscreen/windowed options :)
Simple graphics but nice atmospheric backstory. Like the choice of special skills in the characters.

Like the intro short story, like the "use health as a resource" mechanic - both innovative and fits the mood! Needs a little feedback, graphically, when I use my primary attack. I didn't realize it existed until I checked the tutorial.

Are you running windows xp? I tested it on a XP machine and got the same error. Windows 7 works fine for me.

Really liked the teleport/mirage ability on the second character. Are the vampires in love? I like to imagine they are. :-)

A nice little monstery game. I like the character select function. The level has a somewhat steep difficulty curve and the melee-combat feels a bit inaccurate beacause of the lacking attack feedback (would need an animation).
Overall a simple yet good game.

I liked the special skills, but the primaries could use some sort of indication of their range. I also liked the use of your health to cast your special

The primary skill really needs an animation - even after reading the Tutorial I didn't know if I had to click *on* enemies or just in the general direction of them. It didn't help my confusion that enemies can take two hits :)
I enjoyed the visual style and the menu before starting the game.

I had to come read the comments to understand how to do the primary attack (click on the head of the victim, I think) but after that it was a lot more interesting. I liked the simple graphics, and the variety of enemies was my favorite part.

I really liked the pixel graphics. I agree with jlnr's comments above. Fun game, just needs some polish.

Oh, a Ruby/Gosu game! :)
Nice work!
I'm sad playing the games without sound, by cons!

Good idea but I think that primary attack does nothing. And I died too quickly.

Perfect fit for the theme. Look nice and movememts are fluid. I only miss sounds and a description of the skills.

Nice idea, I appreciated the different skills and play styles between the characters. More feedback from using abilities would've helped though, since it was difficult to figure out when I was hitting or being hit.
