Development process: * 1 specify script file format to claude * 2a specify prompts to claude * 2b claude outputs script snippets * 2c collect snippets to working gane * 3a specify glb files needed to claude * 3b move glb files to web server * 4 check output in web browser * 5 repeat from 2a * 6 watch finished game in browser
Who implemented what: * AI - claude - visual look-and-feel * AI - claude - text489.txt script * AI - claude - dwarfguard.glb * AI - claude - caravan.glb * AI - claude - dragonflap.glb * AI - claude - princess.glb * AI - claude - lightningthunder.wav * AI - claude - fence.vox * AI - claude - horses.vox * AI - chatgpt - Cover Image * AI - suno - bright.ogg * sketchfab - norberto-3d - phoenixbird.glb * sketchfab - anskar - lowpolygrass_pack.glb * sketchfab - randyGF - cloud.glb * MySelf - (14 years) - GameApi Builder tool * MySelf - (14 years) - 3d Engine * MySelf - (14 years) - OpenGL Rendering * MySelf - (14 years) - Gltf standard implementation * MySelf - (14 years) - 3d Engine bugfixing * MySelf - (14 years) - 3d Engine optimization * MySelf - (during ldjam) - Planning * MySelf - (during ldjam) - AI Prompting * MySelf - (during ldjam) - Verify AI outputs * MySelf - (during ldjam) - Optimize assets to our engine
Software dependencies: * c++, php, js, emscripten, SDL2, tinygltf, stb image, draco, glew, libfreetype, opencv videofile, httplib, normal browser environment, windows, linux
Issues found during LD: * rejecting features and backtracking claude's context seems too difficult for me.
Bugfixes after jam deadline: * key repeat caused jams in music/song playing. => moved play_ogg to a thread.
Issues found after jam deadline, not fixed: * a bird is sometimes visible in origo / depends on view position
Instructions for engine usage: * CONTEXT: take claude's context via ./gameapi-builder --dump to a file and pass to claude * BASE: choose one example from https://meshpage.org/meshpage.php as base example and give it to claude * PROMPT: then ask claude to generate whatever you want with prompting * SAVE: save script to a file called script.txt * CONVERT: use ./gameapi-builder --script script.txt -o modscript.txt * OPEN: use ./gameapi-builder --file ./modscript.txt * DISPLAY: try display menu from builder runwindow (at very bottom -- needs lots of scrolling) * VERSION: (newest version of gameapi-builder from gameapibuilder.com might be needed, check .deb file for very newest) * FIXGLB: ((if you're generating glb files from claude, you should ask a skeleton for the glb so that anim works in the engine)) * FIXPRIMITIVES: ((cone primitive parameter order might be wrong in the claude/it generates upsidedown cones)) * DEPLOY: Builder tool can do html5 deploy via runwindow->htmlrun->savedeploy -path * UNCOMPRESS: the resulting zip file can be uncompressed to web server directory * CHANGE: display.html file has the script you get from claude/changing it from the html file is easiest after first deploy * IFRAME: Once it's ready, iframe tag pointing to display.html will move it to another web page of your choice.
our AI's copyright position, after using claude, and based on black box behaviour: * AI is using copyright speed bumps created by browser vendors, i.e. download bar limits number of files downloaded/inserts manual steps between separate files. This is clearly good for AI's copyright. (AI has not decided to skip the speed bumps for example by passing larger amount of data via zip files etc) ((warning: our gameapi-builder tool has this zip file solution available for html5 deploy)) * AI passes certain authorship test that has been used in finland at least in 1994 by game publishers: asking AI to implement an arbitrary requirement to the content it passes along proves that AI is the original author of the material. (originally content source code has not been available to the world and distribution is only via binary files, and making the modification would be impossible without the source code, and thus the authorship test checks if the potential author is able to implement arbitrary requirement to the game) -- this test have strict time limits that AI clearly is able to pass.. * After AI passes authorship test, the copyright people's best argument is that AI is not a human, and author is incorrect determination for a computer system like AI. This "not-a-human" determination has been applied by companies to real humans too, but it's clearly a legal minefield for AI. It's easy to detect that claude is not a human, because good quality answers are coming faster than any human is able to do. * I think I've seen the elephant 3d model that claude generated somewhere else, but cannot pinpoint where I've seen it before. But it could indicate that claude's state space in the area is not as extensive as proper AI solution would require.
HINT: Elephant is included.
