Fixey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain
Fixey 2 is a quirky underwater repair simulator.
In this game, you take on the role of a technician tasked with patching up leaks and keeping a submerged substation running under pressure.
With a series of test chambers that gradually ramp up in complexity, you'll use your skills to plug in power, twist valves, and even operate a remote robot arm, all while a snarky overseer keeps you in check.
Built using OpenXR, it is optimized for any SteamVR headset with smooth locomotion and convenient long-distance grabbing to ease your underwater repairs.

Dive in, fix up, and see if you have what it takes to keep everything from going underwater!
Average runtime: ~15 minutes
The art has some rough edges in a few places because I ran out of time!

The robot arm took a while to figure out and the water level rises way faster than I can plug all the holes.
I had trouble flipping the switches in the first room, and the robot arm grab button. I feel those would work better if you could affect them by just touching them rather than having to grip.
Nailing a metal plate to a leaking glass window while underwater seems like a bad idea.
The final stage was a bit disappointing, just do all the things once with no consequences. It would have been nice if there was a continuous narrative where you have to rush around and fix stuff while reaching some kind of goal.
Same with the final stage...
I was amazed to find a VR game on this jam! super cool :)
Very neat to do a vr game for ludum dare, one of these days I hope to do the same.
EDIT: I realized pretty quickly on a second playthrough that I need to remove the red pipe. Duh. Great game!
EDIT: I think it is my setup... left controller not recognised! Apologies! Will give it another go later :)
