Hey! Really liked this game, the upgrades and the gameplay. Found a minor bug - you can eat the same enemy repeatedly if you mash the space button, giving you infinite points quickly.

Nice game! It gave me a bit of a hotline miami vibe but with monsters and eating disorders! Fun to play

Really cool! Love the graphics, style, and mood.

Upgrades and general game feel are nice, but it's not clear if it's intentional that enemies can still attack while "dead" and being eaten.

The eating phase in general doesn't make a ton of sense mechanically, it would be cool if there was more of a reason to pick and choose which enemies to eat instead of just being obligated to eat all of them. There was still an interesting tradeoff on when to eat/where was it safe, but I found I could die of hunger while eating so it was hard tor really make good decisions there.

Really cool entry, nice work!

Wow! That was metal as hell. And that hunger timer was surprisingly tight! It felt slow at times but really neat overall!

Mmm Hell Food

Very fun! The music was fire, and the mechanics were a fun spin on the traditional roguelike! I did find the game to be a little laggy, but that may be more of an issue with my browser or anything; it's still something to potentially keep in mind. Overall, it was fun. Good job!

I had such a good time! The amount of polish and the fact you managed to implement a working rougelite progression is super impressive!
The only thing that felt a bit wonky to me at times is that yout need to be very very close to an enemy to eat it, so when standing just barely out of range nothing would happen. I think the overall game feel would benefit if the "eating range" was a little bit bigger.
Anyway, great job!

Oh wow, that was a very polished game! The graphics are pretty cool with all the different effects and the music is perfect for this setting. Only complaint I have that it is a bit unclear when you take damage and that its a bit weird that enemies still move and attack after they got killed. But otherwise nice progession and nice additional updates on the way downwards. Also liked the good hell food end screen. Great work!

Great game! Love the music and art.
Have to say, not quite sure if i like the "space to eat" feature in generall, but it was for sure something new and worked for a small game like this, well done!

Very cool entry! Fun to play, and it has great enemy variety, a consistent visual style, and a full upgrade system and a banger soundtrack to boot, very impressive for a jam game! The hunger timeout was a bit annoyingly fast, but I guess it was a good way to enforce/showcase the roguelike mechanics.

Oh, and I just can't not mention that the word is spelled "descend", it says "decent" a few too many times :-p

I love this game!! Lots of great things to point out.

* Visual style: Overall cohesive retro/neon graphics, the scan line effect is great too!
* Audio: While there could have been _more_ audio to make it super juicy, the stuff you did have was very cute, well balanced, and also cohesive and fitting for the style.
* Gameplay loop: The progression with upgrades was great, straightforward, made lots of sense. You don't need to upgrade the "eat speed" very far before it becomes instant (I would expect it to show "max" at that point). As you obtain the sharp dash and triple shot, and the extra sprint speed, it all continually makes you feel stronger.
* Map & enemy design: Cute enemies, each with their own behaviors, I am surprised you were able to make that much variation in your game in just 72 hours.

Overall, this has been my favorite LD game to play so far this time around. Congrats!!

This game is super well polished. It looks and feels great and the audio is well implemented. The hunger game mechanic feels chaotic and it implemented very well. Extremely solid entry!

As others hve said, it truly is quite polished! how did you get this done so quickly?! Loved the art and the music, sort of like 80s meets futuristic meets hell estatic, something I haven't seen yet ever I think. The hell beast looked way too cute, I didn't want to eat them, that's probably the only critique I have XP Well done, very impressive.

The eating mechanic is interesting, and blood is a fun replacement for money. The random regeneration mechanic of the rooms works well, but they could use a bit more randomness, I think random enemies would help. But anyway, I had fun, well done!

Very well done, found it rather tricky at the first, that hunger meter isn't kidding around that goes down fast! But overall a lovely gameplay loop, lovely graphics and overall just fun to play! Great stuff :)
