Also, this game is friggin adorable, the music is AMAZING and I really enjoyed playing it. Had some good insights on communication as well :D.

first of all, SO CUTE. second of all love the music immediately reminded me of the old Pokémon games.

Really nicely polished, and the art tied it all together really well! I especially like that at the end even Alex's ice got broken as they realized they'd finished the mission to discover a creature

Also while I was playing the web build it kept throwing an error up on the screen, you might want to look into that since a few times I had to wait for the errors to disappear and missed the quick-time dialogue

This was sooo cute!! Really cant sing enough praises. Characters were lovely art was so cute and the game was an absolute delight to play through the entire time. Music was also sooo good.

I kept getting an error message popup in the embedded version - Error syncing IDBFS: SecurityError: IDBFactory.open: The operation is insecure. Seemed to happen every time a choice was presented. Didn't cause any issues though, just letting you know!! I use Firefox and Windows 11.

A very interesting conversation game! Ice breaking is a very novel way of interpretation

Very fun game. Art style was great and uniform, the whole game was very cute. Very novel way of getting a bunch of developers to practise their social skills by talking to penguins and mer-seals!

actual game comments -- this is extremely polished and cute on all fronts -- art, sound effects, music and writing! I love the writing and the characters put me in mind of Undertale : ) i think the last encounter was a fun "boss" scenario and i liked the intrigue and the way it tests you a little bit by changing the presentation from what you've seen so far. Great work!!

Very adorable! The writing style is spot on. It has a very Undertale feeling of being in an ominous place of monsters who just wanna be your friend. I like the them of not just exploring the "depths" but also having deep conversations.

I wasn't really enraptured by the story but the adorable art kept me going as I wanted to see more!

This was such a fun game to play through, the characters are so charming. I'm glad we get the chance to break the ice with all of them :D I love the lighthearted approach to the theme and the little details like the characters exiting the scene in silly ways-- but in the end it got deep too!!

Cool graphics and characters – I like everything here, great job!

Embedded didn't work, but I was able to play it with itch.io. I generally prefer gameplay mechanics over long texts, and this game was no exception. The SFX were quite good, and the drawings were really cute.

Nice amount of polish here. Made it all the way to daisy. Really enjoy the extra time that went in to make a settings screen. Great entry

Depth in conversations is a unique interpretation of the theme that works well given the visual novel format/engine used, the art has a cute bubbly style the whole way though, and I could probably find myself listening to some of this game's music for hours. It's real good. Props to everyone involved!

Love the care and attention to detail for every little movement and interaction. You can really tell a lot of thought went into how it would feel to play. The writing was cute n fun, and the art + sound really built everything up into a charming little experience. Always really like playing y'alls entries!!! I would die for pippin also

So cute! The polar bear was my favorite. I love the metaphor of "ice breaking" as a mechanic - that adds a fun layer on top of a normal dating-sim type game. It might be interesting if thing got icier when you say something wrong, but I also liked how relaxed it was. The timer didn't seem to matter since I always had lots of time.

aww this was really cute. I especially liked the penguin and the little roll he did. I also chose to cry every opportunity I was given, so thank you for that. The writing was great, the art was cute, and the audio tied it all together, and I like that the Depths theme was used in several different ways. Nicely done!

What a delightful little adventure! This is one of the more original takes on the jam theme I've seen so far. Such a cool idea, to use the ice breaking as a way to represent depth of relationships and then set it into a frozen environment and then make such a nice and engaging story about friendship and being polite and hepful to people out of it, with beautiful art to accompany it!

My only nitpick is I think it's a crime how you missed the opportunity to make more icebreaker / superfluous dialogue jokes!! Like, not a single how's the weather? (Although the offer fish has it's own merit!)

But other then that, 10/10 heheh
