Nice idea! Very fun to play, with unlimited speed it's speedrun material! Nice job!

Great game! The graphics and music are very polished with a nice touch of feeling retro. I really liked the design decision of not letting the player become game over once they hit the wall but instead just resetting their speed. Isn't too harsh of a punishment but you still really want to avoid getting hit because higher speed is very fun in this game!

After playing games like this one I end up seeing things moving up, like in one of those optic tricks? Nice score chaser!

solid game, polished. Didn't really used umbrella though, more fun in falling faster.

The only comment
I thought the purple blocks were blocks you couldn't bump into, not the background.
They'd be less bright.

And so very cool, all beautifully polished, well done!

A fun game in its simplicity. I loved the choice of color palette. An online score would be a very interesting plus.

Congratulations!

Lots of fun, having your score is tied to your speed is really cool, it was interesting trying to find the balance of going fast for more points vs slowing down to grab coins for more points, nice job!

Purple blocks scared me at first, so ditto the comment to make them more of a background element. But fun game, pretty happy with my score. Taking on any challengers.![score.png](///raw/baa/e2/z/6c0a4.png)

A lovely game with great art, sound, and controls; I enjoyed that the speed mechanic gave me the option to increase or decrease the difficulty, in exchange for more or less score. My one critique, which some others have pointed out, is that I mistook the purple blocks for obstacles for quite a while--before realizing they were just a background art.

Reminds me a bit of Downwell, or an upside-down Tower of Greed. (Also a bit of an old Amiga game I once played called Goldrunner 2, which also had vertical scrolling, insane speeds, and plenty of crashing into stuff!)

Super nice concept! It feels to me like a Downwell meets Flappy Bird, in a really cool way! The sound effects are so juicy and the overall vibe is super nice! I enjoyed a lot how the general feel of the game is.
The only super small thing that got in to me is that I found the bluish tiles in the background to be a lil bit distracting, making me confuse them with the foreground when the speed is very high.
All that said, I really liked a lot your little game! :) Super funny, quite crispy controls and full of juicy. I love how the music contributes a lot to bring more energy as the velocity goes hard. Great entry! Keep up the good work! :)

Congrats on a solid entry! Altogether fun, good looking, and polished game. There is little to gripe about, except that it's not very original :-)

Really fun and addictive game. I really enjoyed building up the speed and dodging the obstacles while trying to get the maximum amount of coins. Also the graphics and the sound design is to the point. Great job overall!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, especially about the background tile being a bit too bright! Glad people have enjoyed it.

Easily the most fun I had this LD, this is a great game! Love it from top to bottom ~hehe~~
The graphics are wonderful, the colorscheme is very bold but it works very well. Did you create the color scheme yourself?
Great to see that the levels seem to be random. And I love how the ground is always there when the countdown stops. One little point: the rotating character when you hit something feels a bit out of place, I would have done that diffrently. Maybe blinking or something

I love the retro feel, I enjoyed the little sprite animations. The music is pretty neat. Thrown for a loop thinking that the greyd blocks were obstacles as well, and I made my first run way more difficult than it needed to be lol. I like how the multiplier worked in tandem with the descent speed!
