DETAILS

Welcome to Tumtrix, where Tetris meets gluttony with a twist of anatomical chaos. Here you’ll push the limits of how deep the stomach can go as your friend Bigmouth Barry continually consumes an absurd amount of food. Your job? Keep the feast flowing and send food deeper into the digestive depths before his stomach overflows.

Tumtrix has been our first project in Godot after years of using other game engines. You only need a mouse to play. We hope you like it!

Please note: The embedded web player suffers from some performance issues. We recommend downloading the standalone game file due to our heavy usage of material instances and physics.

HOW TO PLAY - Drag and drop to rearrange food in real time. - Barry will digest food faster the deeper it is in the Digestion Zone. - Group similar food types (Fruits, Veggies, Protein, Sweets, Takeout) within the Digestion Zone to trigger and maintain point multipliers for each food type. - Each food type has its own separate multiplier, so you can juggle multiple active combos at once. - If Barry’s stomach backs up to the top, it’s game over.

That's enough food! THATS ENOUGH FOOD

I like the blackening of the food that's being digested, gave me some amusement dragging around my darkened stained pizza chunk around. Hot pepper mechanic is funny. The pixel art and the thumbnail for this game is really good! Would have loved some sound--was there any music/sfx? I didn't hear anything on my end.

The image on the cover art reminds me of the Homestar Runner "Eating 5 batteries gag" so that's a bonus for me!

didn't realize my stomach was tetris lol.

Cool for this type of game, you need sound I'm sure.

Thanks well done.

I liked the concept, and the graphical effect for "digesting" looks very convincing! Thanks! Sound would make this entry even better.

I like how food slowly disappears! The game is either too hard or too easy.

@butterflan would love to hear your opinions on what would communicate it better for reference: Multipliers go up when food of the same type is actively being digested. We added a subtle colored pulse to food when you get start hitting the higher multipliers but really struggled with the visual feedback that would communicate the feature.

Pulsing can be seen here:

Such a cool game! I had a similar idea, but ended up making a game about a swimmer instead. Good luck!

Firstly, thank you for the HTML embed, insanely convenient. Anyway, I LOVE IT! It's so simple yet so cool and fun. The real time movement of things I can perform with mouse feels extremely good and thanks to it the combos and rearranging of things feel meaningful and the right amount of strategic. The chilli pepper mechanic is a nice cherry on top of a fun game. And lastly, the digestion is sooooooo satisfying! Thank you!

Is this a Deep Throat reference on the theme? 😳

I liked the idea. I just missed sound and music 😥 My mind was constantly like "Barry OMG plz stop eating"

I wish there was some visual feedback to realize that food is chained (I hope I understood the rules correctly) having foods of the same type together makes them get digested faster, right?

Not much more to say, dragging stuff around feels good, it gets a little hard when there's too much food on screen!

Great entry! I hope there's a sequel to this, we all know how it continues right? 🚽

I like your interpretation of the theme. The game is simple and fun, although I felt like the game didn't require my input half the time it was fun to suddenly realize that a pepper just spawned and quickly make room for it lol.

Nice work!

The pepper was a very cool mechanic and the very the digestion works was very satisfiying to watch. Only wished the group mechanic is a bit clearer comunicated visually in the game. Cool game!

Really fun! The art is al very clear and colorfull, I did wish there was a way to digest food even quicker (apart from the red pepper) because I did not feel as if there was a way to survive after a few minutes. The combo system with the different types of food is also really cool!

Okay, Barry has a pretty big stomach :p

This reminds me of the game "Merge fellas", only instead of merging, we digest.

I like the "Chili pepper" system!

The style of the game and the pixel art itself are pretty cool! I like it! :)

The game, although it lasts only a couple of minutes, but it is worth your attention!
