Story

Sequel to our ealier game, "Align the sky". After the attack on the flying cargo ship, Unnamed fellow fell to his demise, expecting the end. Miraculously, he wakes up on a pirate ship. Having nowhere to go, the captain takes him in. Too bad. Not long after our unfortunate fellow gets marooned because he farted too much on the ship. Too much for this captain's cup of tea. He gets thrown off the ship. Stranded on a desserted island, he's tries to survive diving the depth of the sea to collect trash that can be used as a shelter.

  • Use the trash you've collected from the ocean and use the crafting table to create and upgrade your shelter, and diving upgrades. gttt.png

Love the intro art :) The concept is alright, tough it gets repetitive after a while (maybe a bit too slow?).

I liked the cover art and intro cutscene. The core mechanics is clear but it would be nice to have a tutorial or just an on-screen instruction to show how things work. Also, the mix between 2 different art styles was a bit inconsistent in my opinion. But overall, anyone's good at certain things in life, so keep up the good work!

I found the gameplay loop quite fun. Extremely funny game and I like the art. Just think it could have done with a bit of direction telling you what you needed to do. I'm assuming I beat the game, because there was nothing left that I could do, if that's the case then some kind of clear win condition is needed.

This game kind of feels like a hit and a miss. It seems very apparent what you spent most of your time on compared to what you didn't. The beginning cutscene with the panels was completely stunning and blew me away but that same style doesn't continue into the rest of the game. The walk animation is very choppy. Plus the art in the ocean section totally drops your unique style for rushed pixel art. If you spent far more time on the art of the gameplay and not the cutscene this game would be far better. It is a very interesting gimmick and the whole farting mechanic is funny. Collecting trash to build shelter or a lamp is an interesting idea! I bet your team is incredible when given the time to make something, but with jams you need to prioritize somethings before others.

I really liked the intro and do really wish that energy and style could have been brought through to the rest of the game, I also wish things were a bit more clearly labeled

Most elaborate intro I've seen in a game jam, well done  Also good idea to have moss at the bottom to fill up oxygen levels :100: I think upgrades didn't have much effect since you could still see without light, and you can't use the shelter for anything it seems like. I'd rather have useful upgrades for my efforts. I really like the fishes including the shark, all were super cute

I really liked the anime art style! The cutscene at the start was great. It felt quite intuitive too, although I never managed to figure out how to use the lantern I crafted. Great job!

The intro and art style were pretty cool! The gameplay, while simple, fits well with the theme, nicely done!

Here are some feedbacks:
- As others have mentioned, It can get pretty repetitive since the upgrades to your shelter don't seem to affect the gameplay. I liked the objective of getting the lantern at the beginning though.
- The sharks are kinda slow to really be a menace. In fact, I don't know if I was using my farts correctly, since they didn't seem to affect them (?)
- The red tint when running out of oxygen was a biiit much haha. It got pretty much impossible to see anything once you're like below 20% of the bar.
- The audio for the voice acting in the beginning was a bit muffled too.

Love your graphics! Sometimes would get lost of what should i do next. Maybe add some instructions would help!

I got as far as getting the lantern and the first shelter. A few comments:

- It was very fun in the early game, figuring out the mechanics and having some sense of progression when diving. I was happy it was not an endless dive but you get a nice little bonus at the bottom :)
- I think after seeing the cost of the next upgrade I realised that at this point the mechanics are not advanced enough to carry on
- I like the little critters and changes as you dive. I can imagine with more time they could have more mechanics to them or interactions with objects you can buy :) Scratch a turtle for some oxygen?
- Would be great for the red-screen-of-death to highlight O2 bubbles. The visual hint you're dying is good, but it hides your only way to safety
- The art style change was a bit of a surprise - not sure how I feel about it tbh, at first I thought it was inconsistent, but then maybe having different art styles for different parts (dive vs build) of the game could be fun?
- I think I respawned the first time and still kept my collected materials? Not sure if it's intended

Either way, I had good fun playing through it!

At first I thought you had made something similar to our game, but I realized that it was different. Overall, well done, nice game!
