I think it was a great start! Good mechanics plus some solid level generation

Pretty cool game!. Could only get to level 7 though :p.

The ball mechanic was quite cool. It ended up making the longshots be a high risk, high reward play due to the exceptionally high damage they could cause, at the risk of being attacked while your monster is offscreen.

The procedural generation works really well. I didn't realize that it was being generated until after I finished playing the game, and re-read the description.

The audio was pretty quiet for me, but that's no huge deal. The game was great! The gimmick, enemy AI, and procedurally generated levels are excellent.

This was straight up fun, I love the ball/bounce mechanic. Also it's awesome to see procedural generation in jams! Good job.

Fun little game. I wasn't 100% sold on the camera following your projectiles (maybe splitting the difference between the player and the bullet?), but otherwise the controls worked well.

First Thought:
Eh, I guess I AM technically a monster.

Pros:
The mechanics make this game.
The aiming/ bouncing shots off walls, the special bombs, the upgrades you pick up, the even numbered levels, etc. GREAT job.

Cons:
Barely fits the "you are the monster" theme.
The bombs are a little awkward to use. They're almost too slow to be useful.
I understand the point of the camera tracking the ball after you shoot, but often times I'd find myself dead, or very near death after trying to shoot an enemy.

Overall:
One of the best games I have played so far. Out of 18 so far, this is 1 of 2 that has made my favorites list. Excellent job.

Thanks for the feedback, i know it barely fits the theme that's because i found the theme to only be accomplishable with art and art is not my strong suit as you can see in the game.

The main point of the bombs is to blow up walls to give yourself a better position or even find a shortcut that's why i made them so slow i didn't really want them to be used for long range combat.

And the camera thing is a risk/reward play you can always cancel your ball with space, but if you let it bounce way off screen you risk yourself getting hit.
