There's Plenty of Fish in the Sea by kaype
Hi Ludum Dare.
This is a rage-inducing game about rejection. About being a stalker.
The goal of the game is to collect bits and pieces of notes left by a lovely fish you've been endlessly wanting. There are about 2-4 in each level.
This time around I wanted to try something new. Something a bit out of my comfort zone. I wasn't very cool with the theme this time around so I tried interpreting it a bit differently; I didn't use it as a foundation for a game concept or set of mechanics, I just used the words and gave them some meaning. But I still took it kinda lightly.
INSTRUCTIONS & CONTROLS (READ BEFORE PLAYING):
You can use WASD to move, Space to progress dialogue, and Escape to pause the game. The game gets progressively harder really quickly as there aren't a lot of levels. Once you die, you go right back to the beginning of the game. This game requires Java 7 or higher. I also don't recommend playing if you get annoyed very easily \o/

The first time I went through a door, I had no idea that's what I'd done, I thought that it was just one of those games where you go past a certain point and when you come back there the path changes behind you (because I went over the door initially, and only hit it when I was coming back up from the dead end). That's all the feedback I have so far.
Would have liked some way to skip intro given how many times I died lol
Spent way to much of my life on this... needs addiction warning
i enjoyed most other parts of it. wish i had been able to make it all the way through.
It's hard but I still want to play again, good job !
Save spots would help, and some tighter hit-boxes would help. Groovy soundtrack. Thanks for putting this together!
Awesome effort, love the art style (the go-pro style effect, as I like to call it as I don't know what the real name is, is freaking awesome) and the mood and innovation is amazing.
Issues:
Not sure why it's being shown on a monitor, unless that's just to show off your fancy filter abilities.
There needs to be save states, seriously.
Well done! :)
But finally made it till the end \o/ Offset on the hitboxes was annoying as hell, but eventually managed to live with it. Checkpoints would be very, very helpful though :P
Finished after a dozen trials. It was a nice atmosphere. Good job.
