Armstrong: Plunge, Protect, Punch by abcdef65g

A giant hole has appeared! Nobody knows what caused this strange phenomenon. And to make things worse, vile creatures from hell have started flying out of it and wreaking havoc round the world. The situation is dire, and someone has to do something about this.
Enter Archibald Armstrong, battle-hardened veteran, professional daredevil. After subduing several creatures and enhancing his gauntlet using their cores, he believes humanity stands a fighting chance. Without missing a beat, he plunges down into the seemingly bottomless pit, and begins his bold descent towards the depths. It's time to fist some monsters. Mankind is taking the fight to them.
Move Archibald using WASD or arrow keys, dodging obstacles and enemies along the way, and try to reach as deep as you can. Press Q/Spacebar/LMB to perform a punch attack and dash downwards, taking out enemies and breakable platforms along the way. If you punch while holding left or right input, you can perform a punch attack towards that direction instead.

Nice arcade game anyway.
The punch down to speed up mechanic was clever - it really helped with the pace of the game.
As a bit of constructive feedback, slightly higher obstacle/enemy density might be nice - The first 100m in a few games I played were a bit sparse and only contained platforms.
Overall I liked it - Great effort!
Cool stuff, I really liked the style of the graphics! I think it's really funny though that this really strong powerful character is yeeting himself into these depths and then crumples immediately to one platform.
I like the general atmosphere and graphics. But the counter of destroyed creatures is missing. Or it didn't show up for me.
The first thing that I did is land in a platform and die haha (it didn't look dangerous xD)
Love the music and the paralax efect, cute pixel art!
Solid entry, great job!
