I played this for a lot longer than i should have XD It's simple but it's pretty neat!

Nice little game. With more content, like a store for upgrades, and some progression, you could get a nice basis of a clicker game!

I went to lv20, before kicking in an autoclicker to push the game to its limits. Lv100+ with insta-mining was fun :joy:

Despite being a relatively simple "number gets bigger" game, it was enjoyable. I reached my goal of one-shotting the rocks at Level 50 and stopped after that. Some cozy music or sound effects with some light particles on the mining action would have really taken this across the finish line. Good job on finishing your first Ludum Dare!

@colisan I actually was originally thinking of adding in a little store to buy random items, maybe in post jam version, but also planning on making a more in-depth crafting game with collectibles already anyways.

I don't know if it's just me but I keep getting stuck with no energy

@francescogorgone You have to buy and eat food to recover energy

Well done on your first entry! Easy to grasp. Looks like you had a clear goal and executed it. I also got to the point of one shotting rocks and felt that was my win state.

Cool game! Just like others said, I got hooked and ended up spending more time here than I expected :)

Cool clicker game. Nice and simple game. I like the food icon and reset.

Would be cool if you have time next time to implement some miners to mine for you.

Fun little game—I made it to level 50. I think you start one-shotting rocks around level 46.

Pretty awesome game loop! you have a solid base for epic games, basic sound effects would add a lot I think and this is kind of inspiring to build off of

It's so simple, but still feels more addicting than it should

The art and mood has a lot of potential but it feels a bit unpolished especially the mechanics/ui. Overall a decent entry.

@oliver-day Usually a game made in a few hours by a single person isn't that polished lol I'm primarily a programmer, so the few doodles in the game is my programmer art haha.

Really nice game, I would recommend adding some increasing difficulty and maybe some harder to break rocks. Overall, good job

Has a pretty solid loop going, but needs some more mechanics to keep it interesting. Wound up playing until I got to level 50 and could break rocks in one hit just to see what would happen, so I guess there was at least something that compelled me to keep going, ha ha.

I had bad luck on my first run by getting scraps twice effectively ending my run prematurely. However I had better luck on second run.
Anyways, I can't see the depths of this game but I can break rocks for fun.

I never really understood the point of such games. But I can see this idea becoming the next cookie clicker

Small and cozy, would have been nicer with some more challenge and maybe an end goal, but for a first jam game it's good :)
Hope to see games from you in future ludum dares :)

Just misses some more progression to hit the dopamine high ^^ new ores, better tools, automation, better food like different foodtrucks or a shop and it would be a nice cookie clicker! I like the gameplay loop
