Corsairs and Cannons by Zee
Corsairs and Cannons:
A game of ancient ships and navigation equipment.
*** Update: ***
Fixed html5 compile and fixed a tiny bug where non-important buildings don't die. The windows build works well now, html5 should also be fixed, but let me know if any errors pop up, and use the windows exe in the mean time if so!
+ Destroy the islands to collect your navigation equipment and head home!
---Note: (drops somewhere next to the island, and the island has a marker ---letting you know it has a drop)
+ Destroy enemy boats and drive up to them to commandeer them!
+ You can't heal, so commandeering boats is the only way to refill your health!
+ Different ships move, turn and shoot at different speeds, and have different cannons!
For more help and a terrible rushed story line, click "how to play" in the main menu.
Tools:
Unity
Blender
Photoshop

Some bugs and notes:
+ Sometimes the ships that shoot will get confused and stand still, I know what causes it, but had no time to fix it.
+ Sadly, no music and only two sound effects. For some reason, we can't disable voting in the sound category.
+ The sails only render one way, and didn't have time to fix it or update the models to fix their UV mapping.
+ Forgot to add an exit button :(
+ Any bugs we didn't manage to find.
Made by Zee and Jerek.
Special thanks to Vin and Doug for some feedback and help!

Reminds me a bit of bullet hells, since you can get loads of cannonballs flying around at any given moment, but aside from that, pretty unique.
Nicely done!
Oh and take a look at this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.IfStudios.BattleshipWFAC&hl=en
Its a game i mode for android, and recently i've guessing if would be good make it for pc or even web
Liked the water effects, you can sorta see the cannon slowly fading away into the sea.
I quite liked the art style, and the water waves really add a lot to the feel (and the menu screen is great). Some more sound effects would have been nice and probably not too difficult to add; there were multiple times where I wasn't sure whether a cannonball was hitting a turret so having some audio confirmation for that would have been good. This could also have been helped by moving the health bars to appear onscreen.
In terms of controls, turning was frustratingly slow. There were multiple times where I couldn't commandeer a boat before it sank despite being right next to it, since I had to turn to face it before going forward. However, I did really enjoy the commandeering mechanic and different ship types, and I feel like that could be the basis of a really good game. Also, the enemy ship AI felt well-implemented and the battles were engaging, slow turning notwithstanding.
Overall, I had a lot of fun playing this, good job!
