Nit N'Run by Mikl95

[raw]
made by Mikl95 for Ludum Dare 56 (JAM)

In this game, you play as a nit, your goal is the following: infest as many human beings as possible without being crushed, jump on their heads and infect them !

Good luck!!!

Done in one day, I would have liked to have more time and means to work on this game but that's how it is!

during my test all PNJ are going under desk and table so I can't infest them

Really cool concept, haven't seen anything like it.
The camera control and buggy walkers makes it less enjoyable, but it's a nice POC.
I think a jumping height of less than the height of characters would be a good way to add some depth. That way you have to do parkour or complete other tasks to get onto their heads.

Feels great, and jumping really high as a little creature is awesome. The AI's pathfinding might need some tweaking though—they keep running into walls, haha. Maybe setting a clear target for them could help? Oh, and the most important thing! Add a cover for your game! It will definitely help with getting more visibility.

great idea, fits the theme really well. the humans and the environment models were all looking good, would have been nice to have a better model for the player. a few of the npcs got stuck under the desk so i couldnt infect them and others just walked against walls the whole time. the camera control was a little weird. some sound fx would have also been a good addition. still i had a few minutes of fun with it. for a days work, well done

I like the idea but the execution is rough. I could not figure out how to infect people. The camera also tends to get a little unwieldy.

It's not easy to control the character and feel the distance of each jump but it's ok ;)

Quite clunky, but a good start! The idea is nice and has great potential. I'd focus on improving the game feel, especially the controls (jump is strange) and the camera (often jittering, hard to control). Maybe add some texture to the floor, too. Keep working and it's only gonna get better!

I definitely like the idea and haven't seen a game of this type before! Humanoid models are rather impressive, and the environment is good too. But I think the whole presentation would largely benefit from some shadows and lights, maybe a bit of post processing too? Jumping felt great while the camera was a bit funky. Nice submission, especially for one done in a day 👍

Interesting idea! And it really fits the theme.

Unfortunately, controlling the character was a bit hard and the camera behaved a bit weird.

I also had a slight problem with people being stuck under the tables

All in all, a solid idea that just needs a little more polish :)

It's definitely a little rough but it's a good concept, jumping up and infesting the people is neat and I had fun. You did a good job with the time you had!
