Solid Game, I enjoyed playing it like a puzzle - figuring out which items to use at each point of a level. Really pretty art too. Good job!

Love it! Visually appealing and gameplay is fun. Dunno why corn gives laser beams but ngl, absolutely love it. I think the level design works really well, there's a bit of strategy to it regarding which power to use, with the limited resources. GG!

Cool game! I am terrible at these super precise jumping over things games haha but the game was great.

nice one ! I really like the style, the only thing is I struggled a bit with the control mapping that didnt feel very natural to me, but other than that it's very cool

Simple and fun. Art style is charming. I would've played this longer if there were more levels. Nice job!

awesome game! I like the art and the music/ sound effects, giving it a retro action/puzzle game. The mechanics is very straightforward and has a good learning curve, this has also a good replay value. Overall, I enjoyed playing this one! Congratulations! keep it up!

feels really nice to control, just to give some feedback, I think the enemy colliders could be reduced a bit so they kill you when you clearly overlap with them, otherwise it could feel a little unfair.
There are a couple long jumps that are very tight, but beyond those little things, the game is very cool, nice pixel art, the dust when landing also great!

I like well-chosen colors and authentic styling. The controls are quite nice, I like how the jump is made. It seems to me that there is a problem with hitboxes; quite often I did not understand whether I was jumping over the enemy or not. Overall a pretty fun game.

Great little game. Gave of strong pico 8 vibes and I loved it. I only wish the colliders on enemies were a bit more precise. Overall great entry o7

Great job on your game! The visual style really stands out. The pixel art looks amazing and adds a lot of charm. I loved the snail shooting a mega laser - it made me smile! The gameplay feels good and enjoyable. This is one of the best games I've played in this Ludum Dare. You should be proud of what you've created.

Also, I checked your source code and was surprised by how well you write JavaScript and structure projects. It's immediately apparent that you're a professional front-end developer. Your JavaScript game engine is very well written; it was a pleasure to study your code.

The game size just blows my mind. A 20kb game - I'd forgotten how efficient plain JavaScript can be.

Really cool game ! I like the pixel art style ! It's all what it need to be : Limited space and limited colors, nice job !
A bit short maybe but well done and really well polished !

@bigwhiteshogun Thanks. Yah I followed the PICO-8 limitation approach when making this game.

@jscommander Thank you. That means a lot to me. You are Awesome! :trophy:

@wegpast Thank you.

Nice work! Feels a little unforgiving at first, but in a nicely challenging way I'd say, well done!

A snail throwing a "shoop-da-woop" laser from corn is a tremendous idea, even if I don't know why.

Those pico-8 games have a specific and pleasant look and feel.

However, the ammunition management is quite confusing and maybe a little frustrating.

You accumulate ammunitions, so you are always asking yourself if it's worth using one at a specific time and if it ould not be saved for later.

When we die, we lose a part of our ammunition, but we don't know how and what we lose exactly. Sometimes the corn falls to zero, sometimes we the corn is replaced by an apple, sometimes we end with nothing at all. It's strange, and it doesn't help in finding answer to the "asking yourself" aforementioned.

But overall, I had a nice moment and I finish the game!

What really got me was the spikes, the first one was ok but the 2nd one is discreetly longer and I lost all my tomatoes : ( I really like that one stage with the descending stair-like platforms and the one corn powerup with the long tunnel to the left. It was great : )

This is a cute little game! It feels very PICO-8, very retro. I enjoyed trying to figure out how to get through the game using the fruits, and I managed to get to the end. Nice job!
