TINY SOUL

You are a small indeterminate soul who has woken up in a beautiful forest. Very soon you will be born an animal, but... Which one? This is decided by forces above you.

Embark on an exciting journey through the cozy autumn forest. Explore the territory and collect the characteristics of the animals to go through one of the six portals with them.

If you have chosen the right characteristics, then the portal will send you into a new life. If the conditions for rebirth into an animal have not been met, then you will return back to the forest.

Good luck and have a nice walk!

hey! wish you would've written some description in here because the only reasons i wanted to check out your game is because my team also had a tiny soul in their game, but my god you should've really tried to promote it because it's really fun and the graphics are just something else! it's magneficent and captivating and also wish you had a tutorial in there cause it took me some time to figure out but boy am i glad i took that time)

Beautiful game, love the environment visuals and the piano melody. The movement is a bit clunky and made platforming a struggle though, I think the collisions could use a bit of work but otherwise a cozy and peaceful entry.

I like the visual style, graphics, atmosphere, and sound design. It's a pity I didn't fully grasp the objective of the game, but when I have more free time, I'll definitely come back to it. For now, though, I believe the game is underrated.

I don't understand why you have so few reviews (perhaps lack of rating others games, based on stats*), but the game is amazing. The screenshot art reminded me of For The King and Risk of Rain, somehow. The visuals were stunning.

Certainly, the movement could be a bit more polished and worked on, but for a jam game it was fine, and didn't hinder gameplay thaaaaat much.

Great work!

First of all let me say this game is beautiful to play. The graphics and the audio are just stunning. I really loved just walking around in the forest listening to the soft piano. To echo some of the other reviews some of the hitboxes were strange. There were times I couldn't pick up some of the attributes unless my character was positioned perfectly. I also had problems controlling the camera since my mouse cursor was not disable my mouse it would sometime be hard to make the character look where I wanted them to. But overall incredible game.

What if instead of Tiny Souls it was Freaky Souls and instead of collecting characteristics you demonstrated the characteristics of clinical insanity

Well, I have things to say, so here we go

I'm not sure how I feel about your game. One thing is for sure: I **LOVE** what you promised: a journey through a cozy autumn forest to get reincarnated into an animal, wah! \\\*.\*/
And on this, the game doesn't disappoint: visuals are gorgeous! The atmosphere is great, the lighting, the confy music... Really, well done!

But to be honest, controls disheartened me. I found the mouse waaaaaaaaay too sensitive, so I ended up not using it at all (maybe it was intended this way, actually?). And sometimes I struggled to get the attributes, and fell into the water several times (maybe I'm just bad at platforming haha). On this note: I really wish falling into the water just gets you back up instead of reseting the entiere level, this was frustrating.

I was also disappointed to see nothing really happens when you begin your new life as an animal. Actually play as the animal would probably have been way too much work, but just having an animation or even a picture of the animal would have been nice.

I may seem to complain a lot, but I don't want to sound rude. Your game has some really neat qualities, I just feel a bit of frustration because it has a HUGE potential imo. Having a full game like this, with some diversified environment where you can get and meeting some animal NPCs, that would be a game I would buy instantly!

In the end, This is without a doubt one game I will remember a long time from this Ludum Dare. You have accomplished a really beautiful and cozy game, so congratulations! Let me know if you intend to make a postjam version :)
