Long Live Dacha! by mremmele
Instructions and Dev Notes included :)
* What is going on? *
Some people have flats. Some buy houses. However, people from post-Soviet countries have dachas! A dacha is considered a summer house where you grow seasonal crops, such as food, flowers, and more. How cool is that? Of course, sometimes you are disturbed by mice, who usually squeak peacefully under the floors and prefer not to bother you; or worse—RATS!
Rats are very clever, and it’s hard to get rid of them. Bad news: your dacha has been attacked by rats. Oh no, RATS!
Quick, use everything you have in your dacha to fight these creatures, or your house will be destroyed!
* Screenshots *

If you think that rats are too cute to die, don’t worry; the weapons won’t harm them—they will just leave your dacha for good. (P.S.: If you think that rats are disgusting and deserve to perish, don’t worry; they will all meet their end in the Grill's fire!)
* Instructions *
You have a few seconds before the first wave. Click on the tablets to choose something from your arsenal: Tire Swan, Grill, or Fridge! Remember, it costs money. You earn money by fighting rodents. Later, you can upgrade each weapon; just click on it again.
The Tire Swan does single damage and is the cheapest option. The Grill is AOE and very costly. The Fridge slows down the crowd and does little damage.
Have fun!
* Tips *
Try different combos and upgrades!
* Possible Challenges *
– try to get through the level without deaths (it is possible);
– try to get through the level without THAT item (yes you know what I am implying. or you don't. or we have different THAT objects. well... try)
* Dev Notes: *
Mobile version included! You can play on your phone too.
We had a team of three people: myself, Mikhail, my wife Tatiana and my friend Maxim. We used my own game engine, Remiz (the name is a work in progress) and the editor for this game engine.
We used Pixquare to draw on iPad with a pencil. Overall, the game was built on Javascript + WebGL, with the help of three.js and my own code.
* Known Bugs *
– [FIXED] ~~sometimes little mice run away from the screen. won't influence your game progress, but we'll fix it during the week;~~

The logical next step would be more complex upgrade trees - would have loved to see those in a longer jam :) but this is already pretty decent scope and pretty fun.
Very nice graphics too!
The limited locations to place towers is an interesting concept that I haven't seen before. It forced me to think instead of clumping everything around a chokepoint :D. The choice of towers was limited but not limiting, if you catch my drift. My dacha broke a few times, but I eventually found a strategy that would work on the final level.
The pixel sprites and animations were lovely.
Would like to use the fridge, but it seems too weak for the given levels.
Really nice to have the progress saved!
All in all: solid 👍
Long live the tyre swans!
