Livestreamed start-to-finish in front of an audience of thousands.
Written in pure C# out of many Console.SetCursorPosition() calls.
Tools:
MonoDevelop
Special thanks to Essentia for beta testing -- as well as everyone out in Twitch-land for supporting me and my streaming!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
DIRECTIONS:
Use the Numpad or Arrow Keys to move around.
Use [<] and [>] on stairs to move up and down floors.

Moving on to items will pick them up.
Use [L] to look around, and [ENTER] to examine objects.
If you have a ranged weapon equipped, [F] will enter Aiming Mode. [ENTER] fire.
Access your Inventory by pressing [I]. Items can be used or equipped.

Surprised you didn't try to simulate a DOS console with the Unity GUI, I would've done that
Wow... really love the game. So much to explore. The management of energy makes the game even more intessting. :D
The only thing that doesn't work is the beeping.
Dearmed Arbez is completely helpless.
At least he can flick switches.
Nice Game! Remembering the last target when firing would be a huge qol improvement.
It was simple to figure out, the aesthetic is very nice for a NetHack style game, and the flavor text is great.
Impressive game, 4k lines of code, all done while streaming. Built & ran it on my Xubuntu ‘quarantine computer’ with no problems.
Awsome work!
That said, I like the game you made there. It might be a bit too long for a LD entry, but the tech behind it and the amount of content is really cool!
Quill you're too good
I ran into an update bug or something when I sat on the inventory screen examining items for a while, but esc and back in and everything cleared up.
I have a collection of your games sitting around and play most of them. This is great addition.
very nicely fitting into the theme on multiple levels: roguelike, console based and character graphics
as you've said on youtube, add procedural generation of levels and you can go miles with this game!
