Smash-o-Saurus: Tiny Creature Smasher by Wisch

[raw]
made by Wisch for Ludum Dare 56 (JAM)

In Smash-o-Saurus, you play as a giant dinosaur who’s been finding a world full of tiny, noisy creatures. Naturally, your first instinct? Stomp them all!

Smash your way through cities and watch as the little creatures run around in panic. For every person you flatten, you score points. Buildings? Flatten them too. Basically, if it moves (or doesn’t), stomp it.

Keep stomping until there's nothing left standing.

Playing this I got reminded that Rampage exists, especially the 3d games.

Ha! I loved this flipping of the standard theme interpretation on its head
Some sfx would really add a lot to the experience here. Stomping, screaming, squishing - you know, standard kaijū procedure

Here is my best smashing score:

10345 for my final score. Good little project to get started. The art felt a little incoherent. I actually really like your dinosaur sprite in a 3d world idea, but nothing else really gelled together very well. Some simple sounds for breaking buildings and squishing people would have gone pretty far in your presentation. Cheers to a fellow Godot user!

Really fun even if those tiny humans run faster than I expected :'D
My fav part is definitely your dinosaur sprite tho, the contrast between it and the 3D world add fun little vibe to it all (:

A very enjoyable video game, very reminiscent of children's games (when you built a mountain of legos and then destroyed them, ahah  ).
But I'm saaaaad! I didn't get any sound (Windows version). I don't know what the problem is.
I think I'd have liked a few more gameplay elements (obstacles, enemies) to spice things up, but you've already got a fun base.
