Corgis Heaven by Astoeth

Your are a tiny human, breeding tiny lovely Corgis !

2024-10-11 20<em>43</em>15-Greenshot.png

Select your breeders, strengthen you bloodline and try to satisfy the clients that count on you to breed the new member of their families !

Clients will have demands that will become more and more difficult with time (as well as the reward that they propose)

Use WASD to move around and E to interact with the currently highlighted element, the different elements you can interact with are :

  • Corgis : A first interaction will pet them, any interaction after that will open the Corgi window :

Corgi1.png

Here you can get a description of your corgis with look, sex and different stats, and from here you can breed them (select this option sequentially on two Corgis of different sex and validate with the "Reproduce" function, this will cost you 500$ for veterinarian fees), Ask them to follow you (Only one can follow you at a time, used to bring the Corgi to a client) or Sell them at a low price (if you have too much of them, or need to save money)

  • Letter Box : South of your House, Right of your garden's entry you can find a letter box from which you can buy new random Corgis for 200$

  • Clients : Left of your garden entry, you can find clients asking you Corgis with restrictions (either a sex, specific color or restrictions on their stats). Interact with them to validate if you want to fulfill their demand and interact back with them with the corgis you want to sell following you afterward

Corgi3.png

  • House Door : Use it to go to sleep and wait one month (Corgis gestation last 2 months, and puppies take another 2 month to grow adult and become able to reproduced or be sold to clients). Each month you will spend 20$ per Corgis you have to feed them

Color genetics try to stay close to the rules of real life (with more merle variations for more fun) so should be logical (try to avoid breeding merle with merle and no tail with no tail, you'll get less Puppy), for all the stats, they should stay around the parent ones with a small variation, it's up to you to improve your corgi bloodline !

And, of course, you can pet the dogs !

Use WASD to move around and E to interact, you can breed you dogs by interacting with them and click Breed (one then the other), interact with your house to wait one month, interact with the clients outside to see what they want, and with the letter box to buy new breeders outside and diversify your gene pool

CHANGELOG (Fixes after the deadline) on the Web build (the windows version here is the original submit, not really playable) : - Fix clients always offering 0$ for corgis (the price config was reinitialised on last submit before deadline) - Fix a WebGL only shader bug where the Highlight was reversed in Y - Fix a few crashes when iteracting with the clients

Very nice idea and cute graphics, but for me the "game feedback" and overall game speed felt a little bit too slow.

Very nice drawings and meditative gameplay, good hit on the theme, I liked the very soothing mood of everything
I also got a little visual bug![Снимок экрана 2024-10-08 101716.png](///raw/248/43/z/67c56.png)

Thanks for your comments ! Art was mostly done by peoples whose main job is usually to program (everything beside the main character tat was done by an actual artist but he is new to pixel art) We are happy to hear that we managed to make it cute !

And yes the game is more complex than what was our first intention and we didn't had time to explain it well in game, i updated the description here to give more informations on how and where you can interract with the game !

I am not a dog person, but your corgis are so cutely drawn I totally adore them :) In overall, visuals are very pleasant and carefully made. The game play itself requires some time to figure out how mechanics work.

As someone who got a Corgi puppy a month ago (who also supported me in this LDJam), I had to play this. The graphics and sound is very cute, the idea is simple but well executed. Sometimes a bit hard to find the Corgi I need since the map is a bit big, but if catching Corgis was easy I would deem this unrealistic. Very nice entry, nice to relax to.

Nice game! The downloadable version did not work properly and got stuck when trying to adopt puppies, but the html5 version seemed to work fine. After a while I didnt get any clients anymore.

Nice idea, cute graphics and sounds, relaxing if a little repetitive music. I liked crossing the dogs and strengthening different abilities in the bloodline.

Very impressive pixel art for non-artists!
As for the gameplay, I went bankrupt quite quickly...
Apparently, breeding corgis is not what I should be doing in life! :smile_cat:
