While the theme is a bit of a stretch, I like this game a lot. Nice and short, perfect for a game jam

Adorable! Running into this after an AI-heavy game felt like a breath of fresh air. My one wish is that we see the resulting scene after solving the object-puzzle instead of immediately being taken back to the map---but that's a small gripe. Great work!

Wow! what a beautiful game!
The art and music defiantly stands out.
My only suggestion would be for the later stages to only be solvable after the previous stage was solved, as for you can solve the cave part, without opening the door...
other than that, great game, cool vibes, I'd love to see a longer version of this!

Very sweet game, very relaxing. It has some very small issues as others said, but the game very much succeed at what it's trying to do. Graphics and sounds are really well made, especially for a compo. Congrats!

Gosh that was so cute! Pretty intuitive, I beat it quite fast, and almost wish it was a bit longer but it's just a perfect experience. Music is relaxing, art is gorgeous, and these tiny guys are adorable <3

Wow, that was truly beautiful. The artwork, without any text, has a minimalist charm that's genuinely delightful.

And now I'm just feeling extremely silly because I've been stuck on this puzzle for about 10 minutes, which must be very simple.

I really want to finish this game, but there's just this last part, and I feel like it's just this final piece. However, I have no clue how to solve it.

Thank you all for the kind words! I really appreciate it.

@velvetlobster Thank you for the nice comment! I'm sorry that the puzzle was confusing. I've added a hint and the solution to the itch.io description. I hope it helps. Thanks a lot for playing

Too short! Give me more! :p I think it was a bit too easy but really appreciated playing it. Art is good, animations, feedbacks, very nice entry! I like how I first thought it wasn't a temporal story between places and then I realized.

The graphics are lovely and the puzzles were not too hard. This game hit the spot for a well-done bite-sized puzzle game. Enjoyed it.

@schadocalex @royur with the risk of repeating myself, THANKS FOR PLAYING!
Thank you for the nice comments, I appreciate it!

It's nice to hear that liked the time juxtaposition in the game @schadocalex. I wanted to play around with telling a (simple) story where the player could jump around it in any order. Kind of like if you're leafing though a book. I didn't manage to fully explore the idea I think, but I'm happy you picked up on it.

@recursor Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

Wow impressive Compo submit! The system works well and the art is very coherent and the simple anims bring it to life. The music and SFX are on point too!

Great work!

Wow i found your art specially charming and cute this time. It fit really well with the mood of this little tales !

Each scene were beautiful but maybe a little short : using multiple items or combining some of them could make the game a little bit harder, even though I understand that this kind of scope creep hardly fit in a compo.
I went trough each location really fast apart from the gate where I had to use your little hint.

The story was easy to understand even though you can visit it in any order, which is impressive. Maybe you could have a short transition to the completed state for each scene so we don't have to jump back in to see the result of our actions.

The music and SFX were quite good and moody.

Overall I found it relaxing and enjoying. I wouldn't mind playing a longer version of this game (like ~3 or 4 hour long maybe?) if you ever intend to keep working on it. A great compo entry, congratulation !

I am, as always, in awe by what people like you can produce alone in a mere 48h ahah

I'm inlove about the art style ! Beautiful game ! It was short but just enough to fall inlove with this mood and the characters ! Also music and sound design are very well made and satisfying (the buttons in the code are just asmr)

I really like the idea and how the levels are linked together! It's a shame the game is short, but I understand why.

At first I thought I killed them with that wheelbarrow and made them disappear from existence. Very relaxing music and like the artwork, though a bit lacking on content I think.

This is a really cool little adventure game (with time travel, sort of?). There were so many details, like the seamless music transitions, or the various parallax effects, that didn't stand out but added a lot to the overall experience. It was cool seeing the entire story told without a single word.

Really nice experience. Personally I would have liked the puzzles to be a bit more difficult, but I understand not wanting puzzles to be frustrating. The art is just great, and the world that you've built is very intriguing. I want to know what other adventures these two buds will go on!

This was so nice! I love the art and the music is really relaxing, its also really nice to see a volume slider cause I always want one but its kinda rare. Loved the story that was told through each level and it was super clear how to do everything, although at first I thought you had to use the items where they were found, but after nothing worked I figured out pretty quickly that you need to move around. The glowing when you move an item is also a really nice touch, nice job ^^

What a pretty game. Really enjoyed the mechanic of going back and forth between scenes to move forward, super clever!

This was a very cute little game! I loved the audio and visual style, and it was a fun idea for a puzzle of a story that you could tell out of order!

great job!!

That was really nice! The art, music, presentation, colors, everything is great! My only feedback is that it was bit short, and maybe a bit too easy (although that's ok, it's an experience, too!)

This is so sweet! I love the soft art style and the cute characters. I think it was a little simple to just use all the items with all the situations to solve it, but I have to respect making an adventure game for Ludum Dare, that's really unique.

love the art & narrative design. Not a huge fan of the puzzles themselves that involve some pixel hunting, but it's a nice little tale nicely told

I don't think I have ever played an adventure point-and-click that is completely non-linear like that, and time travel isn't even a theme in it.
Very charming, I liked it.

This was super cute. And I feel proud as heck for figuring out the whole game (I'm usually not great at these) including the gate puzzle without hints (compo version).

The art is fantastic, and I liked playing through it all to see how things went.
