About me

This time, I wanted to challenge myself by making a game that includes a physics-based rope swing mechanic and procedural animation of limbs with inverse kinematics, both of which I haven't done before. It might not have been the best idea since I spent a significant amount of time getting these two features to work. On the other hand, I'm very proud of what I still managed to accomplish in these 72 hours. It's been a lot of fun, but also very exhausting. I hope you all enjoy my game. Looking forward to playing everyone else's entries once I got some sleep

really liked the swing mechanic, and the limbs moving around were really well done, and great audio to polish it off!

The controls of the character are really satisfying, and the limboish aesthetic and the sound set a calm yet eerie . Well done !

This is a neat lil game! I really enjoyed the graphics and sounds, I think they both contribute to a really cool aesthetic! The controls worked very well too! Maybe the player could have been a tiny bit faster? But that's nitpicking at that point. Very good job :)

I really like how the spider's movement is implemented, the well-done kinematics of the paws and the pleasant hanging on the web

I absolutely love the atmosphere in this one. The little details like the particle effects and the misty glow resonate really well with the overall vibe. But my favourite part is the spider limbs animations, they feel so fluid compared to traditional sprites in many other 2D games.

Brilliant work on this one!

Yo can be proud! There may be only 2 levels, but the mechanics works really well, and every visual and audio feedbacks feel like they should. And it's pretty.

Good entry, I like the string physics, feels quite responsive. On ground control is not very responsive though, but maybe it's the intention and it's not much of a problem.

I can see that you care about visuals, looks very consistent :)

Very fun, I'd love to play more levels! I feel like the spider could be a bit faster and/or jump a bit higher, but to be fair that does push the player towards using the webs to move around. (also thanks for making a Godot web game that runs properly on mac  )

Very well made. I love the mood and the swinging. One small tip - use blue noise dithering for all the lights and shadows to make it super smooth. These dark games really benefit from it. There is a nice video about it from Playdead guys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdN06E6Xn9E

Visuals a pretty good and well-made. Gameplay feels just a bit out of "getting into flow" that you get in good Spider-man games when you just fly all over the place. But may be I just need to put more time into it. Also reminds me about old good days playing Teeworlds :D

Great entry!

The controls took a little while to get used to. But once I did it felt nice to swing with. The ground controls felt a little slow and some wider steps would have been nice to show off the animations.

Graphics were nice, sounds were good for the pick ups and crawling. Was just missing some music and potentially some additional gameplay mechanics.

Great job

The movement is very well implemented, the spider is so pleasant to control and the mood is so quiet.... A really good game !

I enjoyed your game and I see your great effort, it is very commendable. I liked both the core mechanics and the Limbo-like atmosphere. Only note: strangely when I was standing on a platform I couldn't immediately go up on the web by pressing W, I had to press A or D first and then W. But that's a small thing for a game made in 72 hours. Keep it up!

Great mood and visuals! The movement and slinging sometimes felt a little bit off (I'd love that the spider would automaticly stick to an egde when i'm slinging), but apart from that it's really nice and comfy to play. Good job team!

Okay wow this is really, really well done! So much polish. The controls are really responsive (although I wished the spider would move faster). The scuttling sound effects are really tactile and everything overall just feels and sounds so good!

The strong point of this is the mood you set in the game.
I like the "colourless" aesthetics of the graphic.

The controls of the grappling hook were solid, but it would be nice, if the spider wouldn't stop abruptly when you "crash" against a wall. It would be nice if the spider bounces off when you hit something (kinda like in the old Worms games).

Congrats to the interesting game you've made and have fun playing other games. :)

Really cool entry!
The visuals and the movement are top notch. Sometimes the left mouse button didn't register which created some frustrating moments but overall this is a really great entry, congrats!

Very beautiful game! It took a little time to get used to the controls, but after that the game opens up to the full! Great game!
